ZeroUI – Building the world’s first hand-controlled robots

Have you ever dreamed of controlling a robot with just the lift of a finger? ZeroUI is making that a reality. Ziro is a robotics kit that allows you to manipulate robots by simply moving your fingers, via a smart glove that connects wirelessly to the robot. You can also connect your Ziro to any iOS or Android device, allowing for easy and universal robot configuration.

Named a Best of CES 2016 finalist back in January, ZeroUI has just closed their Indigogo campaign, raising over $70,000 from nearly 300 backers, meeting their original goal of $30,000 in the first 24 hours of the campaign. In the end, their campaign raised 236% over their original goal.

In June, Ziro was named the number one Best Robotics for Kids by Appcessories, a growing UK Tech blog.

ZeroUI is currently a company in our NSF CAP (National Science Foundation Commercialization Accelerator Program), working toward a Phase II NSF grant.

Innovation like this, that has far reaching potential is the type of innovation that fires us up at Larta Institute. You can be sure we will keep our eye on ZeroUI.
