2018 VIP Reception and Open House

2018 VIP Reception

For the past two years, Larta has hosted an annual “VIP” reception, for our friends and supporters. This year, we did so at the the historic Millennium Biltmore in the heart of Downtown Los Angeles. The Spanish-Italian Renaissance elegance of the beautiful Emerald Room at the Biltmore was a perfect setting for the caliber of the speakers and guests in attendance. The rainy day did little to dampen our spirits!

The program began with remarks by Larta CEO Rohit Shukla, who tied his reflections of the past 25 years to our energized interest in the future of innovation in Los Angeles.  He was followed by L.A. Deputy Mayor of Economic Development, Billy Chun. Billy noted Larta’s impressive impact in science and tech, and urged for a continual push for governmental support of these practices. State Director for U.S. Senator Kamala D. Harris, Julie Chavez Rodriguez, spoke to the importance of diversity and passion for the advancement of innovation of any kind; after, Julie presented Larta with a formal recognition of its 25-year career supporting diverse entrepreneurs in tech.

After the political guests took the stage, Matt Petros of 3DEO, Phil Saksa of Blue Forest Conservation, and Yimin Shiuey of KeraMed spoke about their incredible technologies, and the support Larta gave to them that catalyzed their success.

The evening was capped off with lots of laughter, drinks, and mini empanadas, fueling incredible conversation and unforgettable memories.

A special thank you for all in attendance!

2018 Open House

Our Open House was host to the best and brightest tech at Larta, including Hummingbird Labs, LiftLabs, MakeyMakey, and LivingInk. Throughout the day, guests came to our beautiful Downtown Los Angeles office to demo the innovations, meet our remarkable staff, and mingle with other science enthusiasts.

In true Larta fashion, there was plenty of refreshments and libations, courtesy of our favorite Cuban eatery, Portos.

We hope to see you all again next year!
