Facing America's Energy Challenges at the 2019 ARPA-E Summit

Last week, Larta’s Energy Team attended the 2019 ARPA-E Energy Innovation Summit, an annual conference and technology showcase that brings together experts from different technical disciplines and professional communities to think about America’s energy challenges in new and innovative ways. This year’s conference was held in beautiful Denver, CO at the Gaylord Rockies.

The Summit opened with welcome remarks from ARPA-E Acting Director Chanette Armstrong, who welcomed attendees, and introduced Senior Advisor to the Undersecretary for Science Lane Genatowski. Lane discussed ARPA-E’s impact on America’s energy landscape over the last decade, highlighting some of the agency’s awardees. Throughout the 3-day event, there was a lot of discussion around how policies can drive energy innovation.

“Coffee with ARPA-E” gave attendees a chance to connect with ARPA-E leadership and Program Directors directly, to discuss the future of energy and innovation in a personal, 1-on-1 format.

Now in its tenth year, the Summit offered a unique program aimed at moving transformational energy technologies out of the lab and into the market. a process in which Larta specializes as well.
